WELCOME!

Welcome to Wasatch Wildlife Watch! Here, the University of Utah has teamed up with Wild Utah Project, the U.S Forest Service, the Utah Division of WIldlife Resources, and Salt Lake City's Parks and Public Lands Program to protect the Central Wasatch Mountain Range (CWR) and surrounding Salt Lake City greenspaces ecosystem, an area with incredible biodiversity and natural resources. Serving as an island-like oasis for wildlife, separated by both desert and human development, the CWR harbors some of the most important wildlife habitat in the state of Utah. Under increasing pressure from human traffic and development, our team is attempting to quantify the effects different environmental pressures have on this ecosystem in an effort to better understand and protect this landscape. Please help our team classify images from our camera traps, as each record represents valuable data for our team. For more information about the project, please check out the Biodiversity and Conservation Ecology Lab's Facebook page, Wild Utah Project's Citizen Science page, the Natural History Museum of Utah's Citizen Science page, and Salt Lake City's Parks and Public Lands Program page.
