To monitor the impact of the construction of an oil pipeline on the mammal community in a Northern Peruvian Amazonian forest, an array of camera traps are monitoring them before, during, and after construction. Arboreal cameras are also monitoring natural canopy bridges—branches left intact during and after construction to allow crossing of, and reduced impact on, canopy animals. For the first time, bridges are being monitored before the construction process even begins.
