Riparian systems often are considered corridors that enable animals to move across fragmented landscapes and are important for landscape permeability and connectivity of habitat patches. This is particularly true in rangeland systems such as the Northern Great Plains. My goal for this project will be to test how land use and vegetation structure impacts wildlife utilization of riparian networks.
Cameras in this project will be baited with scent lures to attract the attention of passing carnivores.
