One of three small sites sampled in the hilly, partially forested area north of Chepo.  Reál del Gato is a family owned farm along a river and directly adjecent to a teak plantation.  The owners raise cattle, pigs, and chickens here, but the property serves as a secondary form of income and is not managed as intensively as some other sites (e.g. Maria Isabella).
