Sequoia Riverlands Trust Wildlife Monitoring Program
Sequoia Riverlands Trust is using trail cameras to learn more about the species that call our nature preserves home. Many of theses species, especially the larger mammals, are hard to observe in person, so using these trail cameras gives us a better idea of which animals call our preserves home. This helps us to better understand how to manage these preserves to promote diverse and healthy ecosystems. It also allows us to gain access to a more intimate view of the lives of theses animals, such as watching baby animals grow and mature over time.
There are chronological gaps in the data from when we had to remove cameras from certain locations or change out SD cards without a replacement on hand.
