Akesai County Mammal Survey Project
This project was aimed to survey the mammals in Mountains area along Qinghai and Gansu Provinces. The study area is located in Tibetan Plateau. The habitat is steep and rocky mountains without any vegetation on the slope. However, the mammals in this area are abundant, such as snow leopard, brown bear, lynx, etc. The data can be opened to public after the data is published to scientific journals. The copyright of the data belong to Institute of Forestry Ecology, Environment, and Protection, Chinese Academy of Forestry.
We set 7 camera traps in mountains along the border of Qinghai and Gansu Provinces. We aimed to survey the diversity of mammals in that area. Due to our camera trapping data, this area had been included in Qilianshan National Park recently.
