Museums Connect India

Middle school classrooms across India are collecting important scientific data on local mammal populations in the Museums Connect program eMammal International. eMammal International connects middle school classrooms culturally and scientifically by allowing students to share, comment and discuss their camera trap photos and other scientific findings. Funded through the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and administered by the American Alliance of Museums, eMammal International is a collaboration between the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, Bombay Natural History Society, and Museo de Paleontologia de Guadalajara. Data collected by students across these countries are used to understand how mammals respond to human development from natural to urban environments.
