The camera is located on the periphery of a 1/2 acre planted stand of Quercus rubra, Quercus alba, and Acer rubrum, which is about 15 years old. A paved road runs about 30 m to the south of the camera.

Camera located at Coweeta Hydrologic Laboratory in watershed 32; this watershed has remained unmanaged since the early 1920s. Overstory: Betula lenta, Quercus alba, Oxydendrum arboreum, Sassafras albidium. There is a dense shrub layer of Rhododendron maximum.
