Placed at Coweeta Hydrologic Laboratory near Pickens Nose. Camera placed below cliff in northern hardwood forest with understory of Rhododendron maximum. Boundary of Rock Mountain Fire within 30 m of deployment location. Pictures located in folder: Pickens_2017_03_22

Note: camera deployed on 24 February 2017 and picked up 22 March 2017, but only pictures from March 1st onward are included for NC Candid Critters protocols. Camera did not have option to place on 24 hour military time, but camera is set on Eastern Standard Time.

Poor site selection and/or camera aiming. All sequences, except for one, were either of myself or the wind moving foliage. All foliage within 4' was removed. Had quite a bit of wind during this deployment timeframe. Camera seemed to be aimed correctly when checked

This has been a disappointing deployment and my first. Apparently, the camera did not fire when I thought it did upon startup on 03/23/2017. I do not see anything for that date. Then only a few dark and unrecognizable photos were taken in an area where I know there to be quite a bit of activity. The camera then fired upon pickup today.
