Timestamp is Eastern Standard Time (EST). Camera placed adjacent to Bartram Trail in Nantahala National Forest. Camera working at pick-up, but a bear turned the camera so it was facing down and away from the trail, so detection distance was about 2 meters at time of pick-up. Overstory includes Quercus montana, Nyssa sylvatica, Acer rubrum, and Oxydendrum arboreum. Also dense shrub layer of Kalmia latifolia. Had to go out of town unexpectedly, so deployment well over 21 days - but hey - got an armadillo in the process!
