eMammal Longhorn

eMammal is a site to showcase camera trap research projects by Smithsonian scientists and their collaborators. This cyber-tool is designed to not only be useful to scientists, but also for citizen scientists and students who aid scientists in photo collection and want to use publicly-shared wildlife data for classroom and scientific investigation. The photos provide a unique view into the secret world of wildlife throughout the world. 

If you have active camera trap projects you would like to manage, please visit Wildlife Insights. This is a platform for the identification, processing, and storage of camera trap images and associated data. If you want to eventually share those data through this site, please contact Smithsonian staff listed below.
