We employ a variant of the Tropical Ecology Assessment and Monitoring (TEAM) network terrestrial vertebrate protocol (http://www.teamnetwork.org/protocols/bio/terrestrial-vertebrate) at Organ Pipe Cactus NM. 60 permanent camera sites (co-located with long-term vegetation and soils monitoring plots) are monitored from March - May of each year.
Long monitoring of medium and large mammals in 11 national parks in the American Southwest. Cameras are deployed to permanent locations annually in each park to assess species occurrence and estimate occupancy and species richness.
This subproject contains all of the data collected during our main field season. Data collected during our pilot study is contained in the subproject "Preliminary Study" and does not follow the same methodology. For questions about any of the data pertaining to the Washington Urban-Wildland Carnivore Project, please contact Michael Havrda.
