To reduce the impact that a natural gas pipeline right-of-way would have on canopy connectivity in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest, trees forming natural bridges connecting both sides of the forest were left standing. We’re currently monitoring those bridges using arboreal camera traps.
The Mizzou Eastern Spotted Skunk Project seeks to evaluate habitat selection and home range patterns of the eastern spotted skunk (Spilogale putorius) in the Arkansas Ozarks.
This project investigates if raccoons perceive disgust. We conducted an experiment in which roadkilled raccoons, squirrels, and a stuffed animal were placed in front of a baited camera trap to see if raccoons would avoid the area with the roadkill raccoon.
